Fireflies

This game is really amazing. You have done a fantastic job friend. The ambiance, mood, sounds and experience is just... wow! Well done! I really enjoyed playing it.
Thank you for your comment and for trying out my game!
This game is the best I've played so far. You worked really hard and it shows!
The sound design and lighting are remarkable. I also love that your game page has the same color scheme.
All in all it was a wonderful experience. So glad I clicked on this one!
My only note would be to make the fireflies basic polygons like everything else instead of circles.
I loved tracking them and waiting for them to turn back on. The collect and let go mechanic was cool as well.
Giving the fireflies their own low-poly models is an interesting idea that I had not considered before. I initially envisioned their style to just be the circles that you see in the game but I never went back to review that after I built the rest of the low-poly world. Thank you for your feedback!
gonna get a bit personal here..
I grew up in the south-east united states, where fireflies are a mainstay of summer nights. catching them is just like this game, where you look out for slow blinks, follow them, look again, follow, until you find the little bug. I loved it, and it's a highlight of my childhood. this summer, I moved to the north-west US, where there aren't any fireflies, and I missed them all summer.
this game gave me a little of that experience, especially because of the fantastic sound design and the commitment to having everything super dark when unlit. felt just like summer nights in the appalachian mountains :')
I'm glad it made an impact on you. That was really nice to read. Thank you for the kind words!
the graphic, the BGM, the mood is good, just it's too dark to find the fireflies
